Weatherbury Station is the 60-acre family-run farm of Gordon and Charlotte Whitted and daughters Emily and Anna. Located in scenic Burke's Garden, VA, Weatherbury Station produces naturally raised pastured lamb, pastured poultry and eggs from free-range hens. We sell our lamb to upscale restaurants, such as Fabian's in Winston-Salem, NC, as well as to farmers' market customers in Tazewell, VA and Winston-Salem, NC. Our lamb is also available by reservation directly to individuals, by the cut or as half or whole freezer lambs. We also breed Great Pyrenees dogs and sell registered Targhee sheep.
     We run a pesticide-free, herbicide-free, manmade fertilizer-free farm. We use no antibiotics or hormones on our animals. Our animals drink cool crystal clear mountain spring water. We follow a "New Zealand style" low input - moderate output model of intensive grazing. All our animals have continuous exposure to grass. We try to create a natural environment for our animals. We feel healthy unstressed animals eating what nature intended them to eat make healthy, great tasting food.
