Freezer Lamb by the whole or half
Freezer lambs reserved in advance can be cut to your specifications. The cost is $1.30/lb live weight + the butcher fee ($40.00). For example, if a lamb finishes at 90 lbs., that would be $117.00 + $40.00 = $157.00. Delivery is free to the Tazewell County and Forsyth County areas or you can pick it up at the farm or the butcher shop in Lebanon, VA if that is more convenient. Shipping by UPS is available. Call us to get an estimation of costs, 276-472-2535.
A whole lamb ordinarily comes out to approximately 30-40 pounds of meat, including 2 legs, 2 shoulder roasts, 6-7 packages of chops, and 6-7 pound packages of ground or stew meat.
A half lamb yields approximately 15-20 pounds of dressed meat, in half the cut quantities listed above.
